The Faculty of Civil Engineering originates from the General Engineering Faculty of the Kiev Engineering and Construction Institute.

Specialist training was driven by the region's specific development needs. This problem was solved by mastering the system of knowledge, formation of skills, professional, outlook, civic qualities, taking into account the prospects of development of society, science, technology and advanced technologies.

The National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine
The National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine is one of the oldest institutions of higher education for Metallurgical Engineering. It was established in October, 1899 as a department of Katerinoslavsky Higher Mining School. In 1912, the department was transformed into a metallurgical faculty of Katerinoslavsky Mining Institute. In 1930, it acquired the status of an independent institution of higher education and obtained the name of DnipropetrovskMetallurgical Institute. In 1993, the higher status of State Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine was gained and fixed by the Resolution of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and, in 1999, the status of the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine was adopted by the Ukaz (Decree) of the President of Ukraine.

Sumy State University

Sumy State University is located in Sumy city in the North-East of Ukraine.  Today, Sumy State University is a leading institution of a classical type with the IV accreditation level in the region.
The University currently serves about 14,000 students, who are pursuing bachelor and master degrees in 55 majors and 23 fields of knowledge. About 1750 foreign students represent almost 50 countries worldwide.

ABOUT V.N. KARAZIN KHARKIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY
V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is one of the oldest universities in Eastern Europe. It was founded in November 1804, on the initiative of the prominent educator V.N. Karazin and in accordance with the charter of Tsar Alexander I.

The opening ceremony was held on January 29, 1805. V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University made an important contribution to the Ukrainian national renaissance of the XIX-XXth centuries. V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University

The University employs about 1314 lecturers, including 133 Doctors of Science and professors, 569 Candidates of Sciences, associate professors, Senior lecturers and Lecturers. Among them 1 Hero of Ukraine, 4 State prize Laureates, 24 people have been awarded the title of Honoured Workers of Science and Education of Ukraine and 53 people enjoy the title of Honoured Workers of Science and Education of Crimea. 

The training of specialists of the highest qualification is provided through the postgraduate training. More than 250 postgraduate students study now in more than 50 specialities. Some 40-45 Candidate and 8-10 Doctoral Degrees are defended each year.
